About the Artist

Glass Artist - Patricia Brennan

Stained Glass artist Patricia Brennan has dedicated herself to the art of stained glass for the past 40 years. Nature is the inspiration for her work, she draws from observing the beautiful surroundings of her home in Rappahannock County. 

Creating with color and light is the joy in each piece of glass she makes. She utilizes many techniques in glass to fabricate her art work; silk screening, hand painting with traditional stained glass paints, etching, mosaics, fusing, and kiln worked glass, are all used in tandem to create her unique style of stained glass.

Her studio, De’Danann Glassworks, is located outside of Sperryville, Va. She has been creating commissioned stained glass windows for the past 36 years. Her work can be found in local churches, businesses and residents throughout the county. 

She is also one of the owners of Thornton River Art Gallery, located at 36 Main Street, Sperryville, Va. You can find her work on exhibit there, along with the other 22 local artists.

Patricia’s  passion for glass motivates her to teach others to create in glass, she offers weekly classes in her studio.

She is dedicated to preserving the integrity of an Old World art form, while combining the technology available today.
